How it Works
Start by sending clear photos of the pipe or collection. This helps us decide whether the pipes are likely to be a good fit for Heritage Pipe Shop before anyone spends time or money shipping them. We look for maker markings, overall condition, quality, shape, age, and collector appeal. At this stage, we may be able to tell you whether we are interested, but we do not make a final offer from photos alone.
If the collection looks like a good fit, ship your pipes to us for an in-person inspection. Once the pipes arrive, we evaluate condition, stem oxidation, tooth wear, bowl condition, cake, rim darkening, fills, cracks, repairs, finish quality, and the amount of restoration required.
Once we inspect the pipes, we will make a fair offer based on condition, restoration needs, resale value, and current market demand. If you choose not to accept the offer, no hard feelings. We will carefully pack your pipes and send them back to you at no cost.
A Respectful Home for Good Pipes
Pipes often carry history. Some come from longtime smokers, family collections, estate sales, or display racks that have not been touched in years. Our goal is to evaluate them honestly, restore them properly, and help worthwhile pipes continue their story.

- Estate pipes from respected brands and makers
- Unsmoked pipes and new-old-stock pieces
- Pipe racks, stands, and display pieces
- Larger collections and estates
- Interesting pipe-related accessories
Photos to Include
- A picture of the whole lot you are looking to sell or trade
- Individual pictures of:
- The full pipe from both sides
- Any stamping, logo, or maker’s marks
- The bowl chamber
- The rim and top of the bowl
- The stem and button
- Any damage, cracks, or fills
- Boxes, sleeves, paperwork
